Strawberry Hill Solitude

I started this one en plein air at the Sandgren coast paintout in July, but had to bring it home and look at it for a while before finishing it in August. The vantage point is from a cliff, looking south across the headlands and the scattered volcanic rock. The scene was all socked in with fog when I arrived. I had to patiently wait for the fog to begin to lift a bit. Remants can still be seen. The lone walker below gives a sense of how massive the cliffs are.
