Riverside Cherry

I'd been keeping an eye on this cherry tree, waiting (im)patiently for it to bloom. It had been a long, cold winter and spring was weeks behind schedule. Finally the stars aligned, the tree bloomed, the rain stopped, and the sun came out. I happily painted it that day, by the river, en plein air.
