Lilies Dancing

In Owen Memorial Rose Garden (Eugene, Oregon), surrounded by roses, it was the Cala lilies that stood out. Majestic, tall, pure white, they glowed in the sunlight. The were a compelling subject to study for an afternoon, and seared themselves into my soul. Painted en plein air, oil on canvas.
