Figs in Blue

A luscious, charming crop of black figs, in a pale blue, handmade pottery bowl. The figs were grown on a small tree in my backyard. It is not hardy here, so it lives in my garage every winter, and on my patio in the summer. It gives us a surprising number of the exceptional figs. The bowl was a gift from a friend.
