Squash Party

This is a colorful oil painting of a happy group of winter squash and pumpkins after the harvest. I had piled them up to admire them and take stock of the bounty of my garden. They formed an amazing and irresistable still life that begged to be captured on canvas. Painted in a fresh, alla prima, impressionist style.
