The Flower Vendor

I was strolling through our local (Eugene, Oregon) Farmer's Market one day with my camera, people watching and capturing the colorful assortment of veggies. I came upon our regular flower vendor. She and her family of women are longtime sellers of flowers they have grown on their farm. She had just assembled this beautiful bouquet when I asked to take her photograph. I then painted this colorful oil painting back in my studio.

This painting received the "2021 Roy D. Neslon Art About Agricultural Honorarium" at the Art About Agriculture Show at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. It was selected to be the poster image for the show.
